Just in time for the start of Advent, the Bad Bollen Christmas market was greeted with the most beautiful winter weather. Katrin Liebler on the participation of Friends of Rwanda.
The delicate snowflakes accompanied many a Christmas market visitor to the Friends of Rwanda e.V. stand in the late morning.
Once again this year, hard-working hands had tied numerous colorful Advent wreaths, which quickly found their buyers.
From the wide range of African handicrafts on offer, many an interested person was able to purchase beautiful Christmas presents. Particularly noteworthy was the wide range of self-sewn bags, pouches, aprons and coasters. These were made by our two sponsored sewing projects in Rwanda. The proceeds go directly to single mothers with children with and without disabilities.
Later in the afternoon, the crowds at the bar serving our legendary Spanish (organic) mulled wine increased and invited many known and unknown guests to linger for a chat with friends and acquaintances at our stand. Interested parties came to find out about our current projects in Rwanda and the almost 18-year history of our association.
Once again this year, we can speak of a complete success!
We would like to thank all our volunteers for their commitment and support in preparing, setting up, decorating, washing up and selling at our stand!
Our special thanks also go to all the guests and interested parties who visited our stand!
